The clock

The clock
So, I’m kind of a cheapskate when it comes to going to games. Most times, I prefer the cheap seats. The bleachers. Centerfield at Safeco sets you back seven bucks. Seven stinking bucks and you can watch a Major League Baseball game in the prettiest ballpark in the land.

So taking this stance, I have stared at the clock behind the left field grandstands a bunch of times. Its a nice clock, says Mariners and everything. But it wasn’t until my amazing wife surprised me with tickets along the first base line, and for a night game to boot, that I really noticed how incredible this clock is. The thing is perhaps the biggest friggin’ neon sign I have ever laid my eyes on. (Except maybe for the old Rainier beer sign on the top of the brewery) The color radiating off of this thing as the game progressed what nothing short of spectacular. What a treat. It became just one more part of Safeco that I love. And just one more reason that us baseball fans of the Northwest have the best ballpark of all.

At Buffalo Wild Wings
The parking lot was nearly full when we got to Five Guys for dinner and inside was SRO so I drove on by. We had heard that Buffalo Wild Wings has good burgers so we went there only to find out that we had accidentally stumbled into a sports bar without realizing that it was time for Monday Night Football. Fortunately the game didn’t start until shortly before we left so we missed the rowdiness.
PS: It ain’t cheap!
How many flat-screen TVs do they have? It seems like more than Best Buy.
I’m not much of a beer drinker buy when I buy beer I buy Shiner Bock.

Maybe someday I’ll learn how to shoot lighted neon.
